Jen Stovall, a Georgia native, spent her childhood summers exploring the abundance of wild plants in the Southern Appalachian Mountains and the piedmont region. Inspired by the beauty and mystery of wild plant medicines, she began her journey to learn more about herbalism, studying with some of the most influential herbalists in the United States.
In addition to her herbal training, Jen holds a BSN-RN from the Louisiana State University School of Nursing, and a NADA Ear Acupuncture Detox Specialist and Trainer license, both of which continue to inform her herbal practice.
As a Community Herbalist and Health Educator, Jen combines Southern Folk Medicine, Western Herbalism, and harm reduction in her classes and herbal practice.
Jen believes that herbalism is a potent tool for pursuing social justice globally and a powerful manifestation of the ethical and ideological path she walks in her personal life.
As a teacher and practitioner, she aims to make health care accessible by educating and empowering her clients and students. And she is renewed and inspired by the magical spark that happens whenever people meet their plant allies through consultations, herb walks, medicine making, and health education.
